City Sweats Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question about the services we offer? We have the answer! Check out our FAQs below to learn more about our company and services.

  • What do I wear for my service?

Our cabins are private, which allows our clients the comfort of wearing yoga clothes, a bathing suit, or whatever fits their comfort level in our clothing-optional cabins. Feel free to contact City Sweats if you have questions about what to wear for your specific service, such as a lymphatic drainage massage, or refer to your confirmation email.

  • What is infrared sauna?

Infrared sauna cabins emit infrared heat, which is unlike traditional saunas or steam rooms. Infrared is an electromagnetic light wave that penetrates 4-6 inches into your skin for the ultimate cellular level detox, from the inside out! These penetrating rays of light help to boost your metabolism and allow your body to sweat away up to 900 calories per session.

  • How do I pay?

We accept all major credit cards except Amex. City Sweats is a cashless business.

  • Do you offer gift cards?

Absolutely! You can choose between our different gift certificates online. We can email your gift card to you or you can come in and purchase a gift card in spa.

  • Anything I need to do AFTER my sweat?

As long as you stay hydrated, you can go about your daily business after a sweat or infrared sauna wrap. However, to fully enjoy your post-sweat glow, we recommend taking it fairly easy for an hour or so.

  • Can I sweat with someone?

If you’re going into a cabin, yes! Friends that sweat together, stay together! We can fit up 2-4 guests in our sauna cabins.

  • What do I do in the sauna?

In the saunas, you can meditate, daydream, listen to music on the cabin's personal Bluetooth, read a book, or whatever your personal process is for relaxation.

  • How do you sanitize your rooms?

We use hospital-grade sterilization & a UV hospital-grade sterilization wand. All linens are replaced after every client.

  • Can I shower afterwards?

Yes, you can! We provide a clean shower room fully equipped with a fully stocked shower, Q-tips, and fresh towels to enjoy post service.

  • Do you provide water?

We have water for purchase as well as Kangen water machines to refill your bottle, personal or purchased!

  • Do you provide towels?

Yes! We are a full service spa, and towels are available for your use at any time.

  • What if I am running late?

Please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to ensure you get your time in your reserved room. Please note that your appointment has a specified start and end time to allow our staff to properly sanitize the suite before the next appointment, so you will lose time on your session if you arrive late. Any appointment later than 15 minutes may be subject to rescheduling and/or late cancellation fees.

  • What services can I do while pregnant?

At this time, City Sweats does not offer any modalities for pregnant women. If you believe our modalities would benefit your pregnancy, please always seek guidance from your physician based on your needs. If requested, a Doctor’s note may need to be provided before service usage.

  • How long is my membership agreement?

Memberships are month-to-month. To cancel or suspend, you must email your local City Sweats at least 30 days before your next billing to do so.

  • Can I share my credits?

No, any credits purchased are available only to the purchaser. If you would like to gift City Sweats, we suggest purchasing a gift card.

  • Are your saunas near, mid or far infrared?

Our saunas are full spectrum so they inclue all three!

  • What is chromotherapy?

Chromotherapy uses specific wavelengths from the visible light spectrum to support and restore balance in the body. Rooted in centuries-old healing practices, this approach has been used to address a variety of physical and emotional conditions.

  • Can my child sweat?

Children aged 6-17 may sweat ONLY with a parent or guardian. A doctor’s note is required stating they do not have heart issues, respiratory issues, or blood pressure issues. Children with a fever may NOT sweat.

Children may only sweat 25 minutes MAX. There must be a timer set for 25 minutes. When the timer goes off the parent must escort the child out of the service room.

The parent must also agree to keep the child seated on the bench in the sauna. This is to avoid them coming in contact with the heaters.

The parent or guardian must read and sign all necessary waivers for the child.
